The Book of Numbers

Film Focus: Produced by the Bible Project, this video takes us through the Book of Numbers by dividing the journey in the desert into five narrative parts. There is discussion on what God wanted for the Israelites versus what the Israelites ultimately chose for themselves.

Discussion Questions:

1. What does the Hebrew name for Numbers mean? Why might it better describe what happens in this book?
2. Discuss the instructions that the Israelites are given for how to order the people in the camp. Why is this ordering significant?
3. What happened when Moses sent the twelve spies to scout the Promised Land? What happened as a result of their choice?
4. What are some lessons God might be teaching us today through the Book of Numbers?
