Discussion Questions:

  1. What is the month of Ramadan? Why is Ramadan sacred to Muslims? How is it celebrated?
  2. What are the five times of prayer in Islam? What special traditions do Muslims do embrace during their daily prayer times?
  3. What are the Five Pillars of Islam?
  4. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims keep a very strict fast from dawn to dusk. Why do they embrace this practice? What is it meant to help them understand?
  5. What do you notice in these boys’ lives that is similar to your own? What do you see that is different?
